YouTube Premium works in Pakistan — paying for it is the problem

• The cross-border OTP step fails. 3D Secure verification for foreign merchants often times out, or the password never arrives, killing an otherwise approved payment.
• Some issuers block these merchants outright. A few banks stop certain international merchants at the network level, and no setting on your side moves that.
• A working card still costs you extra: the amount converts at your bank's own rate, with an international fee added on top.
• Temporary unblocks expire. A bank may open foreign payments for a short window; the first charge succeeds and the renewal months later quietly fails.
