The Office already on your laptop works — until it doesn't

A very large number of people in Pakistan are running Office 2016, or even 2013, on a laptop that came with it pre-installed, or on a copy installed years ago that now shows an activation warning every time it opens. It works — documents open, spreadsheets calculate, nothing has gone wrong yet.

The trouble is not that it stops. It is that it fails at the wrong moment: a client sends a file in a newer format and Word will not open it cleanly, Excel starts misbehaving on a big sheet, a university portal accepts nothing but .docx. Small failures on their own — but they land in the week an assignment is due or the day an invoice must go out.

Microsoft 365 or Office 2021? The difference that matters

This is the most useful thing to understand before buying either. They are genuinely different products, not two prices for the same thing.

  • Microsoft 365 is a subscription. It keeps receiving updates for as long as it stays active and includes 1TB of cloud storage — but it renews, and that renewal is the part nobody plans for.
  • Office 2021 is a one-time purchase. You buy it once and it stays exactly as it is: no cloud storage, no new features later, but nothing expires either.

Neither is better in the abstract; they suit different people. Want software that keeps improving, plus a backup that comes with it? That is Microsoft 365. Want to pay once and never think about a renewal again? That is Office 2021 — compared in full on our Microsoft Office 2021 in Pakistan page.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint — and 1TB of cloud storage

Three applications do almost all the work for a Pakistani buyer.

  • Word for documents and CVs — applications, letters, contracts, anything that gets emailed or printed.
  • Excel for shop accounts, invoices and stock. This is where most small businesses here actually run their numbers.
  • PowerPoint for presentations and university work, from a class project to a client pitch.

Then there is the 1TB of cloud storage, the part people here tend to underrate. Phones and laptops fill up faster than anyone expects, and the photos and account files on them are usually the only copy in existence. A backed-up file survives a stolen phone or a hard drive that simply dies — and a dead drive with no backup is one of the most common ways people lose work they cannot replace.

Why paying Microsoft from Pakistan is the hard part

Microsoft bills in dollars, on a recurring card, from outside the country. That is precisely what most Pakistani cards are not set up to handle.

  • International transactions are switched off by default on most cards issued here — a sensible setting that also blocks a foreign recurring charge.
  • PayPak cards cannot process an international payment at all, whatever balance sits on them.
  • A virtual card has to be funded in dollars first, then kept alive across every renewal — an ongoing chore, not a one-off.

The outcome is predictable: it either never starts, or it starts and then lapses at the worst moment — the week a thesis is due, or the day a client is waiting on a document.

How to order

  1. Tap an Order Now button. Your WhatsApp message opens with Microsoft 365 already written into it.
  2. Tell us what you need it for — a new laptop, a shop, university work — and we confirm the current plan details and the rate.
  3. Pay by JazzCash, EasyPaisa or bank transfer, in rupees, once you are happy with both.
  4. Receive it on WhatsApp, normally shortly after your payment is confirmed.

Who buys this — and who should buy Office 2021 instead

The people who order Microsoft 365 from us tend to fall into a few groups: small business owners doing their own accounts, university students writing reports and presentations, freelancers sending documents to overseas clients, shops keeping stock and invoices in Excel, and people setting up a new laptop who want the software sorted in one go.

It is worth saying plainly, though, that a subscription only makes sense if you will keep using it. If Word gets opened twice a year, Microsoft 365 is the wrong product and the one-time version is the better buy — you pay once and it never comes back to ask for anything. Being honest about that protects your money, which matters more to us than a single order. The full comparison is on our Microsoft Office 2021 in Pakistan page.

Questions

Microsoft 365 in Pakistan — FAQ

The questions people actually ask before ordering.

Why can't I just pay Microsoft with my Pakistani card?
Because Microsoft bills in dollars on a recurring card, and that is exactly what most cards issued here are not set up for. International transactions are switched off by default on most Pakistani cards, PayPak cards cannot process an international payment at all, and a virtual card has to be funded in dollars and kept alive across every renewal. So the subscription either never starts or it lapses at the worst possible moment.
What is included with Microsoft 365?
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and 1TB of cloud storage. Word for documents and CVs, Excel for shop accounts, invoices and stock, PowerPoint for presentations and university work, and the cloud storage for backing up the files that only exist on your phone or laptop. We confirm the current plan details on WhatsApp before you pay, so you know exactly what you are getting.
Should I choose Microsoft 365 or Office 2021?
Microsoft 365 is a subscription: it keeps receiving updates and includes 1TB of cloud storage, but it renews. Office 2021 is a one-time purchase: you buy it once, it does not expire and nothing renews, but there is no cloud storage and no new features later. Choose 365 if you will keep using it and want the backup. Choose Office 2021 if Word is opened twice a year.
Can I pay with JazzCash or EasyPaisa instead of a card?
Yes. We accept JazzCash, EasyPaisa and direct bank transfer, all in Pakistani Rupees. You confirm the rate on WhatsApp, pay through the method that suits you, and nothing auto-charges afterwards.
Do I need to share a password to order?
No. Nothing about this order requires your password or any access to your accounts, and you should never hand a password to anyone selling software. We only need to know what you want and how you are paying.
How quickly is Microsoft 365 delivered?
Delivery is handled over WhatsApp, normally shortly after your payment is confirmed. Larger or custom orders can take longer, usually completing within 24 to 72 hours. Message us when you order and we will tell you the current turnaround.
